Tuff taster webinar

Join us for two hours on Zoom to experience our training firsthand rather than just hear about it. Why? Because we think that’s the best way to decide if it’s relevant for you.

Come and find out if we're any good

Every supplier says “practical”, “behavioural”, “embedded”, “sustainable”. But we know the difference between training that shifts how a manager actually behaves and training that people enjoy and then forget.

It's only visible in the room.

The culture you want is made of conversations

You probably want the same thing most of our clients want. People who take responsibility without being chased. Teams that give honest feedback. Fewer things escalating to you.

That won’t happen through a new set of values, engagement survey, or another reorg. It happens in thousands of ordinary conversations between leaders and their teams.

Unfortunately, most of these conversations are running on a default mode that doesn’t work. The manager nags, motivates, persuades, reassures, fixes, solves. The employee complies. (Or they don’t!) But compliance is commitment’s worst enemy.

Changing this pattern is a skill. And skills can’t be taught through theory.

Overview

Online interactive Zoom session

Invite only

How it works

We need something real to practise on. So in this webinar, we take a situation every leader recognises: a decision has been made by someone else, and now you have to tell your team, who you know aren't going to like it.

This scenario tends to expose our default mode almost immediately - over-explaining, softening, selling it, rushing everyone to the solution.

Nothing like a normal webinar

In these two hours, we will cover:

- A short revisit of parent-child versus adult-adult leadership (which you will have heard a bit about from us before)

- A live demonstration by a Tuff trainer, so you can see the difference rather than read about it

- Then you will get to try it yourself, in a small breakout group, with a trainer supporting you

Expect it to be a bit uncomfortable! (Because our training is designed to be safe but stretchy. Otherwise, nothing will shift.)

Who this webinar is for

People who commission this work and answer for whether it worked: heads of L&D, HR, People and Culture, and leaders holding the budget for culture change. Particularly if you've got a shortlist of suppliers who all sound identical on paper.

Or you might be someone we’ve spoken with who wants to try us out.

The details

Next session: 29 October, 10.00 to 12.00 CET

Where: Zoom. The trainer opens the room 10 minutes early, so please arrive a little early to get settled in.

Places: Invite only, and capped. You're reading this because you came to our first session, or because we've spoken and you got it.

We'd be happy to have a conversation with you about your needs and to share the different ways Tuff could support you

A woman riding a rocket pointing forward
Self-management is about more than reinventing structures

More and more is being written about self-managing and decentralised ways of working, with organisations like Haier and Buurtzorg capturing the attention of management and business thinkers the world over. However, most (if not all) of the focus in these case studies tends to be on structures and processes. Don’t get me wrong, structures and processes are extremely important. But they are not enough if we truly want our organisations to shift.
